What Did You Smell When You Were Away?

SPEEDWELL Contemporary, Portland, ME, 2021

What Did You Smell When You Were Away? brings together four long-term bodies of work developed through repeated journeys to pilgrimage sites in India and Tibet between 2001 and 2019. Each project emerges from walking through cities, across landscapes, along ritual routes—and translates lived experience into material form through textiles, photography, water, and collage.
